Sang-yong Lee of Hyunjin Seoul Studio in South Korea produced the kinetic art sculpture "Flying Whale" (Nahnda Gorae). A humpback whale is shown in this kinetic art sculpture made of wood, metal, and leather. The "Flying whale", delicately placed on its center of gravity and set in motion with a tiny push of the hand, swims with random movements to mimic the motions of a whale swimming through the sea. "Flying whale", modeled after a humpback whale, stands on its center of gravity and swims gently in response to a gentle breeze or a hand impulse. Because of its erratic movements, the whale swims in all directions, revealing its numerous sides. The weight of the whale's body, wings, and fins has been carefully adjusted to create a natural-looking impression of the whale swimming.
